You cannot defeat sin by running away from it. The reason I say this is because running from sin is impossible.  This world is a capsule of sin in so many aspects and you living on this planet puts you in the dead center of it.  Notice I did not say there is no way to overcome sin, I’m just saying that running is not the way to do so.

You may have heard this before,  “Darkness is not something that self sufficiently exists, it is the absence of something.”  That something is light.  Something interesting is that God says He is light in 1 John 1:5 and in Him darkness can’t exist.

The next time you find yourself battling a problem, sin, pain, hurt, or any other controlling issue, remember not to run away, but instead run into the arms of light, where those things can’t exist.

The outreach team went out to Citizens Bank Arena on Saturday night, but unfortunately the security guards wouldn’t allow them on the premises.  However, thanks to God’s timing, they ended up reaching one of the security guards who broke down and gave their life to Christ, right there on the spot.  The team was still unable to stay at Citizens Bank Arena, but felt led to go to Ontario Mills Mall.  Many people were reached and prayed over throughout the night.  We are so proud of our outreach team and can’t wait to see thousands come to know the Lord through them.

2 Corinthians 10:5-6 says, “Take every thought captive.” What does that mean in your life?

Recently, I’ve come face to face with some real facts about self control. It might not surprise any of you to find that this world doesn’t have any.  Porn is quite possibly the most dominant issue in the lives of both Christians and non-Christians alike when it comes to self control.  And yes, that’s for both men and women.

Here’s a wakeup call. Porn addiction is such a big deal that psychologists are considering putting it on the DSM chart, which is the measuring rod for severe mental disorders. The damage that a lack of self control creates can truly limit, if not completely kill your life.

Again, I’ll ask: What thought do you need to take captive of?
